The Bald Eagle - A Success Story
Start: 2013/02/07 7:30 pm
Location: 2490 West 37th Avenue (at Larch Street), Vancouver
Speaker: David Hancock
David will be talking about Bald Eagles in BC, based on some of his pioneering research on eagles as well as the various eagle cams he has set up for study purposes. He will also provide an update on the current status of the Bald Eagle in BC, and more specifically in the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley (Harrison area) and Squamish.
David has spent most of his life studying west coast and arctic wildlife. He has published scientific and popular books and papers on whales, seals, seabirds, grouse and his specialty, the northern raptors. Prior to starting Hancock House Publishers he was a pilot and wildlife film producer -- again specializing in the native cultures and wildlife of the coast and north.
